Thanks! There was a "controlled burn" taking place all during the competition, which wasn't a factor. BUT...yes the wind got into the 30+ area on the last afternoon (when I shot this), and the "controlled burn" turned into a major, several day wind-driven fire. Fortunately, not too much was burned except for hillsides. Makes you wonder though where the controlled "burners" brains were at...

First, this isn't an airshow. Two, on average two pilots are killed in crashes a year at airshows. So using your own figure that would be 120 pilots in 60 years, not "Hundreds". And NO ONE has been killed on the ground in more than 70 years. There are roughly 500 people killed a year GLOBALLY in general aviation crashes. Wake the F up.

@@MH-bb4fl because of the G-forces caused by the acceleration around the pylons, the pilots can lose consciousness, especially if the manouvre is sustained for several seconds as in this case.
